A newest addition to the payment processing family of products is Google Checkout. It provides payment gateway service regardless of payment type (Visa, Mastercard and others) and checkout APIs so e-commerce can be fairly easy integrated in anyone’s website. An equally important is their aggressive pricing policy of charging 2% of total charge plus $0.20 per transaction regardless of total amount charged and some further perks if you are Google AdWords customer!
This in our mind can be revolutionary for thousands of mid and small size content owners eager to monetize their content but no so eager to spend money on the e-commerce features required to sell content online. In combination with DRM Web Service tools we can turn anyone's website in pay-media site in couple days.

A basic Google Buy Button system is very easy to setup, however, it’s very limited in its functionality and primarily geared towards folks selling physical items that require shipping. Consequently, even their advanced API based checkout system is not intended for sale of digital items and has no capability of conducting recurring billing. There is no indication from Google that aforementioned features will be offered anytime soon so at iStreamPlanet we’re looking to provide our own truly API based payment system that customers can use to integrate payment processing quickly & securly into their site.
We are also looking into a seamless way to tie payment process with DRM tools so license issuing process works in conjunction with payment process.
Proud to announce that we have successfully integrated VeriSign (now PayPal) PayFlow Pro payment gateway into API based environment with DRM Web Services where both, payment system and license delivery, are handled via web service. Moreover, it even supports recurring billing for monthly/annual subscriptions and gives customer ability to capture their user data without having to deal with security, merchant processing, recurring billing and scalability. Two pages is all API sample code they need to place on their server and both pages are fully customizable GUI vise and have ability to store data in local database if desired or integrate local login system for existing membership sites.
This changes pay-media landscape as it enables any site owner to run pay-per-view or subscription offerings directly on their sites without having to deal with complex elements such as database integration, payment processing, security, DRM and subscription management.
